Summary of responsibilities:


Reporting to the Manager, Operations Systems and RAIC, the
Advisor, Operations Systems is responsible for assisting business owners in the delivery of program support systems by developing and maintaining product and service quality enhancements of various operational systems, and by leading and participating in assigned projects.

The Advisor, Operations Systems performs all other duties and responsibilities related to the position as required.


What you need to succeed

To qualify for the position, you must have:

  • Graduation from a college or university with specialization in computer design, engineering, social science, business administration/analysis, project management, or another specialty relevant to the duties of the position;
  • A minimum of four years of experience in project planning, implementation and control, including coordinating activities, providing status briefings and establishing contingency plans;
  • Experience liaising with a variety of stakeholder or client communities to promote business strategies and deliver projects;
  • A minimum of four years of experience identifying resource requirements, developing statements of work, initiating contracts for the provision of professional services, including tracking project budgets and resources, and delivering status reports;
  • Working knowledge of Computer Aid Design (CAD) system (only for the incumbent working with CCTV);
  • Knowledge and familiarity with aspects and activities pertaining to project management methodologies.

Valuable skills include:


  • Knowledge of CATSA's mandate and priorities, as well as an awareness of relevant legislation impacting CATSA;
  • Knowledge of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC);
  • Knowledge of CCTV programs and access control systems.

Specific work requirements

  • Ability to work overtime as required;
  • Ability to travel as required;
  • Language profile: English essential;
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance;
  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
