SUMMARY:
StackTeck has an Automation business located in Vaughan, Ontario.

We design and make industrial robotic systems, specializing in In Mold Labelling and Takeoff systems for the plastic packaging market.

These systems can also include 6-axis robots, vision and case packing modules.

Our goal is to give the successful applicant a wide range of exposure and experience in various areas of our business.


Note:
The ideal term for this position is 4 or 8 months starting Fall 2023.


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

As an Automation Co-Op Student at StackTeck, you will have the opportunity to do the following and much more:

  • Hands on with assembling automation systems (Mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic)
  • Supporting the supply chain/Inventory management group and learning the different types of components that go into designing and building industrial automation equipment
  • Designing and prototyping 3D parts with our inhouse industrial 3D printer.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


EXPERIENCE AND BEHAVIOURAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Presently enrolled in a postsecondary Mechatronics, Electromechanical Engineering Technology, or related program.
  • Some handson experience in Assembly & Testing of Robotics (preferred)
  • Proven mechanical aptitude and skill using hand tools (even in mechanical hobbies and/or personal interests)
  • Strong communication and computer skills.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and knowledge of wiring and cable routing is beneficial
  • Some experience using Solidworks, an asset
  • Great attitude, willing to learn and make a contribution is key
