About the Hotel The Courtyard by Marriott Kingston is a 128-room hotel, owned and operated by Easton's Group of Hotels. Located just off of the 401 hwy, it features 2 meeting rooms, the Bistro restaurant and a pool with a 100-ft water slide.

Courtyard by Marriott Kingston is looking for someone with a knack for efficient and courteous service to join our team of amazing Bistro staff as a Food and Beverage Supervisor (Maternity Leave Coverage)**
What will you be doing?

  • Assisting in the management of the food and beverage outlet to ensure that quality and service standards are met and maximize food and beverage profits.
  • Greeting all guests and taking beverage and food orders promptly and professionally
  • Training and scheduling employees to ensure proper coverage. Monitoring performance and recommending corrective action. Alerting management of potentially serious issues.
  • Promoting teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
  • Making appropriate service recovery gestures according to established guidelines.

What are the requirements for this role?

  • Basic reading and writing abilities
  • Strong communication/customer service skills as a significant amount of time are spent interacting with guests
  • Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or provincial government agencies.
  • Available to work any shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays and overnight when required
  • 1 year of Food and Beverage outlet experience
