Position Overview:
Under the direction of the HOUSEKEEPING SUPERVISOR, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St.
Boniface General Hospital the HOUSEKEEPING PORTER is responsible for performing various cleaning functions/services throughout all areas of the Hospital campus; understanding and following Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) guidelines; and performing other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.

- Ability to retain information which is of a confidential nature.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, lift, twist and reach continuously throughout the entire shift.
- Ability to lift a minimum of approximately 50 lbs/23 kgs.
- Ability to lift, push and pull heavy weights, climb ladders/skyjack/scissor lift.
