Internship Opportunity:
Community Relations and Engagement
The 2022 Canadian Elite Basketball League Champions - Brampton Honey Badgers are seeking a motivated, outgoing and

tasks such as:
planning and executing Honey Badgers community appearances and team events, facilitating community

programs and making a significant contribution to our community engagement initiatives.

gain valuable hands-on experience within a new league and have autonomy in their everyday tasks.

Responsibilities include:

Act as a brand ambassador on behalf of the Brampton Honey Badgers.
Plan and facilitate Honey Badgers community events.
Manage mascot appearance requests. Brainstorm and execute Honey Badgers appearances.
Help plan and facilitate Honey Badgers community programming.
Aid in fostering relationships with local schools, organizations, and businesses to promote the Honey Badgers'

community presence.

Assist in the creation of content for social media and the website highlighting community involvement.
Help in coordinating volunteer opportunities for team members and staff, furthering our community impact.
Support basketball operations staff in team operations if needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in a college or university program (preferably in Sport Management or another related field).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Possess strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
A team player with the ability to work independently and take initiative to meet deadlines.
Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
Ability to adapt and work in a diverse, fastpaced environment.
Flexible work schedule including some nights and weekends.

Type of Position:
Internship (Unpaid - for Academic Credit)

Term:
Summer 2024 Semester (May August 2024)
