Description

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Reading and interpreting blast layouts and using bulk and packaged explosives.
  • Cleaning holes and preparing for blasts;
  • Laying out detonators and boosters;
  • Stemming of holes;
  • Installation and grouting of cable bolts, ensuring proper columns on holes and tying in blasts using Nonel and Electronic Initiation systems; and
  • Any other duties as directed by supervisor

Qualifications and Experience:


  • 35 years underground experience;
  • Accreditation in U/G common core modules and specialty modules;
  • Strong safety focus;
  • Selfmotivated ability to work alone;
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills; ability to work independently;
Schedule:10h, 5,4,4,5 rotating schedule
