It's the perfect work/life combination.The Staff Cafeteria Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the staff cafeteria within an organization.
This includes managing cafeteria staff, ensuring high-quality food service, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, and fostering a positive dining experience for employees.
What you will be doing:
- Supervise and support employee's onthefloor; coach and develop them to maintain standards.
- Understand daily operations and anticipate upcoming events.
- Review staff feedback with the Staff Cafeteria Chef and address concerns timely and professionally.
- Oversee food preparation to ensure compliance with recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards.
- Monitor food storage, handling, and preparation to uphold safety and sanitation regulations.
- Responsible for maintaining standards for condiments, table settings, ambiance, and overall function and flow of the dining room.
Qualifications Your experience and skills include**:
- Proven experience in food service management, preferably in a cafeteria or similar environment.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
- Knowledge of Alberta food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Basic understanding of budgeting and financial management principles
