Here's how an Health and Safety Supervisor for our Montreal office contributes to our team:

Responsibilities:

Implements and supports project HSE plans, regulatory requirements, and other safe work practices.
Develops and delivers project specific HSE training.
Implements district HSE communication strategies on projects.
Recognizes, evaluates, and advises on hazard identification.
Leads project HSE inspections and monitors the quality and effectiveness of inspections and trade safety plans.
Develops and evaluates efficiency of the project emergency response plan, sitespecific security requirements and the environmental plan.
Monitors and audits trade partner HSE performance.
Participates in onsite investigative processes and evaluating corrective actions taken.
Develops and maintains positive relationships with all stakeholders.
Coaches, trains and mentors HSE Coordinators.

Qualifications:

Postsecondary diploma/degree in OH&S or a related field (preferred).
5 years' experience in a health and safety role in a related industry (preferred).
Previous experience in a supervisory role is an asset.
Solid understanding of applicable OH&S and environmental legislation and HSE processes.
Conflict resolution skills, with the ability to problemsolve.
Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Ability to develop, influence, and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
Strong working knowledge of construction processes and terminology.
Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
