The goal of the
Project Manager is to assure that all projects are delivered on time and on budget. There is a priority focus on assuring the _ultimate client experience_ is delivered throughout the project. We educate our clients, assess their needs, design solutions and project manage delivery of all involved parties.


The
Project Manager will work closely with team members, engineers, clients, consultants, and vendors to ensure that all project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track and within budget.


The
Project Manager will be engaged from the proposal process providing oversight of the process to assure timely creation of proposals by engaged parties.

The Project Manager will play a critical role through the multiple phases of a project by providing consistent communication to staff, clients and external resources.

The role will be a _key contributor_ to helping reach revenue goals and achieve business metrics.

The role's success will be measured on the Project Manager's overall ability to deliver projects on-time and on-budget and to achieve survey results that are consistent with delivering the _ultimate client experience_.


Responsibilities:

Project Development
*Submitting project deliverable and preparing status reports using PMI guidelines, MS Project, ConnectWise and industry techniques.

*Responsible for guiding projects through the proposal process from inception - through final client signoff. Assess and coordinate the resources from across the organization and externally required to deliver on the project.

*Create project plans, present to clients, schedule and track success, manage deadlines, drive escalations and deliver projects on time and within budget.

Project Management
*Responsible for moving ongoing opportunities through the project life cycle, including scheduling and conducting meetings, developing new project documents and creating project plans

*Client engagement and other activities to develop relationships with client key contacts and associated vendors, and to keep opportunities moving steadily through the project cycle.

*Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects at the same time.

Project Leadership
*In conjunction with the client executive and technical resources as necessary, ensure ongoing activities are being delivered as scoped

*Identify relevant Apogee resources for the project delivery process with participation from technical and executive resources on technical components to schedule staff, clients and vendors and follow-up with clients appropriately to gain final project signoff and closure.

*Own the project board in ConnectWise to assure timely updates.

Reporting
*Maintain all opportunities within the ConnectWise CRM system in accordance with Apogee standards.

*ConnectWise project oversight - time reporting, expense tracking, documentation (IT Glue). Provide weekly and monthly reports, scoping, target billing, approved projects, customer surveys, utilization, escalation, project updates and reviews.

*Weekly reporting of billable project hours.

Leadership
*Provide guidance to assigned Client Executive (CE) and Engineers to develop their skills for them to act independently and achieve their project goals.

*Work with Engineers to ensure proper tracking of proposal and project opportunities in the ConnectWise system in accordance with Apogee standards.

*Conduct weekly project review meetings with Clients, Engineers and CE's.


Job Requirements:


  • Must have a demonstrated track record of managing technical projects
  • Must be willing to hold staff, vendors and others accountable
  • Must be able to articulate a multifaceted approach to achieving project success
  • Must have excellent written communication skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of a project management methodology (i.e., PMI, MS Project) is a plus
  • Excellent time management skills and attention to details
  • Strong ability to present complex solutions to nontechnical people.

Work Experience

  • Must have at least 4 years of relevant industry IT experience.
  • Must have experience presenting and engaging with business executives.

Education

  • PMP certification preferred.
