Job Title:
Pharmacy Assistant
Duties:
- Assist pharmacists with various tasks in a pharmacy setting
- Provide excellent patient service and ensure customer satisfaction
- Handle prescription orders and assist with medication dispensing
- Maintain accurate records of medications and patient information
- Prepare medications for inhalation and infusion
- Utilize medical terminology to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals
- Follow aseptic techniques to ensure the safety and sterility of medications
- Assist with medication administration under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Provide support in managing inventory and restocking supplies
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure efficient workflow
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of a pharmacy technician program preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy practices
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and medication administration
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment
- Prior experience in an acute care or hospital pharmacy setting is a plus

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Toronto, ON M5A 2K1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- pharmacy: 2 years (preferred)
