**NATURE & SCOPE
The role of the IT Manager is to provide support and security for information technology in both hardware and software


YMCA staff on the proper use of existing systems. The IT Manager will also extract information and produce reports for

management to use as required or needed.

**RESPONSIBILITIES: **Strategic
infrastructure including the design, installation, configuration, maintenance and replacement of IT infrastructure and new
equipment

  • Ability to lead operational and business critical projects using project management methodologies including requirements
analysis, analysis and design, testing, implementation, deployment and change configuration

  • Exceptional understanding of managing Office 365 ( Active Directory/ Exchange online, Security and Compliance Centre)
  • Ensure that systems and infrastructure patterns, principals, frameworks and standards are designed and implemented to
support business requirements

  • Ensure that data is stored securely and backed up regularly
  • Monitor system capacity to determine its effect on performance and recommend enhancements to meet new or changing
network demands


Operational

  • Establish and maintain priority criteria for the maintenance and replacement of computer equipment
  • Research, advise and assist with major hardware installations
purchases

  • Receive reports from supervisory staff on IT issues. Determine actions required and set process in place to correct by
assigning Staff/Consultants to rectify problems

  • Mediate Staff/External Consultant and Customer issues in a timely manner
  • Ensure that IT Staff are cross trained to aid in their development and the departments requirements
  • Maintain a comprehensive IT hardware log including the cellphone/ laptops / PC's and tablets
  • Ensure access to computer software and data is restricted
  • Ensure daily backup of computer data, including remote backup of computer data and emergency recovery plan
  • Be familiar with changes/upgrades made to software
  • Communicate with software provider on difficulties encountered by users
  • Responsible for all aspects of IT Budget
  • Produce reports for CEO, VP's and Centre Managers as required
  • Ensure that training manuals, updates, forms and troubleshooting guides are updated and saved on a shared drive
  • Ensure staff is knowledgeable in and have a good understanding of the use of the system by means of oneon
- one or

group communication

  • Works collaboratively with the Marketing and Communications department on website integration,
registration, and communication channels


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in a computerrelated major
  • Minimum of 5 years system support and Management experience
  • Experience & understanding of MAC hardware & OS system software along with PC Hardware & system software
  • Experience with iPhone & Android setup
  • Experience with Teams & Zoom virtual platforms
  • Experience with setup of AV equipment for presentations
  • Understanding of digital signage software & hardware setup (eg. ScreenScape)
  • Experience & knowledge of SharePoint & One Drive for storing & accessing files remotely
  • Must have reliable transportation throughout the Niagara Region
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks
  • Must have aptitude to work within a team environment
  • Superior attention to detail and analytical skills
  • A clear and satisfactory criminal reference check inclusive of the vulnerable sector search (CRC VSS) issued for the
