_Are you an energetic, organized person with excellent time management skills and experience in shipping and receiving? _Altruck International Truck Centres is currently seeking a
Shipper/Receiver for our
Guelph Branch.

Hours of this position will be
Monday to Friday 7.00 am to 4:00 pm.

Summary:


This Shipper/Receiver is responsible for the proper control of all customer orders and stocking functions, stock orders and assist with related accounting functions.

The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for the loading and unloading of shipments, verification of their accuracy, and warehousing functions.


What you'll do:


  • Advise parts delivery drivers of required pickup/deliveries
  • Handle incoming and outgoing shipments and verify the accuracy of the contents against the packing slip
  • Put inventory away into proper locations keeping in mind proper safe storage practices
  • Operate lift truck and hand truck to load, unload or move incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Assist delivery drivers in picking and loading parts for orders
  • Process credits to customers for returned parts
  • Ensure all authorized parts are returned to the proper supplier in a timely manner
  • Place emergency orders and stock orders as per established schedule and as requested
  • Post all inventory receipts and match purchase orders and invoices, ensure it balances and forward to accounting
  • Check order acknowledgements and expedite all emergency backorders
  • Check all interbranch orders daily and follow up if necessary

Working Conditions This is a physically demanding position. The Parts Delivery Driver may be required to lift heavy items from time to time, and will stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle, and feel. They must request assistance for any parts/objects over 50 lbs. They will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and a variety of other hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
