We are seeking an experiencedPrinting Manager for One of clients in
Scarborough, ON.
As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the construction estimating process, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing for projects.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong analytical skills and a background in project management to contribute to the success of our company.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the printing department, including scheduling, production, quality control, and maintenance of printing equipment.
- Manage a team of printing technicians, operators, and support staff, providing leadership, guidance, and training as needed to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and design teams to understand client requirements, provide printing solutions, and deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Develop and implement production plans, workflows, and procedures to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and meet production targets.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance protocols to maintain high standards of print quality and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor inventory levels of printing supplies, materials, and equipment, and coordinate procurement activities to ensure adequate stock and timely replenishment.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of printing equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, and coordinating repairs or upgrades as necessary.
- Stay updated on emerging printing technologies, trends, and best practices, and make recommendations for process improvements and equipment upgrades.
- Prepare production reports, performance metrics, and budget forecasts for senior management, providing insights and recommendations for business growth and optimization.
- Foster a positive work environment, promote teamwork and collaboration, and motivate employees to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in printing operations management
- Indepth knowledge of printing processes, equipment, and software, including offset printing, digital printing, prepress operations, and finishing techniques.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problemsolving abilities, with a customercentric approach to service delivery.
- Proficiency in printing software and tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite, RIP software, color management systems, and workflow automation tools.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations, including environmental sustainability practices, health and safety guidelines, and quality control procedures.
- Strong business acumen, including budgeting, cost control, and resource allocation skills.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends, as needed, to accommodate production schedules and project deadlines.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional travel to client sites or offsite meetings.
