We are currently seeking and have an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of
Regional EHS Advisor - Eastern Canada.

The location is flexible to
any Applied branch within Quebec or Ontario, however, preference will be given to those located in/around Quebec City.

The individual must be flexible to a hybrid and/or onsite model that will consist of office related duties (roughly 60% of the time), travel to and from Applied Canada locations located in ON, QC, NS, and NB approximately 40% of the time.


  • Drive culture change and adaptation of the EHS Program for the operations in Eastern Canada
  • Review, translate, and ensure document control objectives are met to ensure the administrative element of the
  • Report to management on the status of the Applied safety program within their locations and provinces such as strengths, expectations and improvement opportunities.
  • Partner with branch managers and RM's in the Applied East region to support for safety issues; working with all locations via monthly one on one video calls, operational calls and coaching.
  • Drive all aspects of health, safety and environmental programs to maintain full compliance with applicable laws and regulations as well as internal and external business requirements
  • Participate in incident management process for eastern Canada, ensuring mitigation of incident outcomes, modified work and root cause investigations as well as the assessment and development of corrective and preventative actions
  • Conduct Safety Audits/worksite inspections at branch and field locations
  • Develop and implement Applied EHS training programs
  • Audit, trend and develop presentations that will encourage and coach managers and associates on the 10 elements of safety such as Hazard Assessments, Investigations, Leading/Lagging Indicators, Root Cause, etc.
  • Carry out incident investigations. Have a strong background in Root Cause, DNV SCAT and Corrective Action controls.
  • Partner with operational managers to identify and manage all ongoing site EHS issues and hazards such as unsafe acts and conditions, PPE compliance, toxic agents, exposures and ensure appropriate actions are taken to control and mitigate potential exposures and risks
  • Representing the company for any EHS requirements/3rd party vendor issues for employees working on customer sites (i.e. Oil & Gas, Mining customers) for eastern Canada
  • Production of safety statistics and EHS metrics to support the evolution and commitment of the program across the operations
  • Manage Cognibox platform and report to managers training requirements and status updates to EHS Manager.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the position
  • Bilingual; English and French (requirement)
  • NCSO designation, OHS certificate/diploma, CRSP or equivalent years of experience in the health and safety sector.
  • Proficient in ISNetworld, Cognibox, and Avetta
  • Exposure to and knowledge of provincial and federal regulatory requirements.
  • Strong ability to influence and lead associates, operations support, administrative support and leadership staff.
  • Strong problemsolving skills, with very systematic approach and analytical mentality.
  • Strength in document control and ability to be independently organized utilizing Microsoft 36
  • Operational comprehension of case management, WCB relations and investigative procedures
  • General knowledge of technical trades and equipment in bearing, transmissions, oil and gas, mining and construction.
  • Completion of Standard First Aid
  • Level C CPR an asset
  • Independent thinker, selfmotivated, high ethical and moral standards, team focused
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation to drive to and from Applied locations
