Full Time Assistant Production Manager for Grandmother's Bake Shoppe

Day Shift with on call availability

Summary:

Grandmother's Bake Shoppe is seeking an Assistant Production Manager who will be responsible (with support from the Production Manager) for ensuring smooth operation of facility to meet production targets and quality standards for all areas.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide leadership, direction and guidance to production personnel.
Must Follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Site Allergen Program and BRC Principles
Supervision, evaluation, motivation and training of personnel to ensure work is completed efficiently, effectively and safely
Ensure that safe conditions exist at all times within the work environment; will take appropriate action to protect the health and safety of employees
Ensure the efficient and effective use of manpower, equipment and material resources
Schedule equipment and personnel to ensure production requirements are met on a timely basis
Develop and foster strong and effective functional and crossfunctional teams that effectively change systems and procedures through the process of continuous improvement
Effectively use daily production information to track costs, measure trends, and communicate results, positively reenforce success and initiate corrective action when appropriate
Ensure the Company's food safety, quality and sanitation standards are met through close liaison with Quality Services, full participation in the BRC food safety program, as well as frequent review and implementation of Company and Government Policies
Administer environmental policies and ensure regulations are followed
Communicate with the Maintenance Department to maximize machine efficiencies and monitor equipment performance

QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent oral and written English skills with Good Mathematical ability
College diploma considered an asset
13 years' experience in Food manufacturing in a Supervisor capacity required _*Bakery experience is considered an asset*_
Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills
Must be selfmotivated, results oriented, possesses high degree of initiative, work well under pressure
