Established dental practice in
West Toronto (at Bloor St and Jane St, 5 minutes walk from Jane station) with 4 chairs looking for a dental receptionist who is committed and friendly to work with an amazing, tight-knit team helping our kind and loyal patients.
This
is a short-term
contract position (6 months), with
the possibility of becoming a permanent full-time position.
- preference for private medical office receptionists/ administrators_ (physio, optometry, chiropractic, etc) (ie. has experience with billing and dealing with private insurance).
You will be the second office receptionist/ administrator for a 1 dentist, 1 assistant, 2.5 hygienist office.
What we are looking for is someone who is a skilled receptionist; someone who is very confident in their core reception skills:

- Punctual
- Coachable ie. are open to learning more things as well as learning a new way to do things you already know how to do
- Interested to "learn a new language" (assuming you have no dental experience)

Main responsibilities will be patient intake and care coordination, answering the phone, booking and confirming appointments, recalls, follow-up on dental predeterminations, billing and dealing with dental insurance, referrals, keeping track of invoices and paying office bills, helping keep track of office statistics.

Wednesday 7:30 AM- 4:30 PM/ 8:00 AM

Friday 7:30 AM- 12:30 PM/ 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM
(Average 33h-37h/ week)

Please note that as the office grows, your specific shift start/ end times and days may need to change (short or long-term) to include more evenings or one (possibly two) Saturdays a month.

Commensurate with level of dental-specific reception experience:
No dental and no medical reception experience: $20.00- $21.

No dental but has medical reception experience: $21.00- $22.00/h
