At the Ministry of Infrastructure, we are responsible for planning, building and managing government-owned infrastructure.


Alberta Infrastructure is responsible for delivering one quarter of the Capital Plan which is working to address the provincial infrastructure needs of Alberta's population, and supporting key social programs and services and economic development.


The Ministry designs, builds, manages and maintain government-owned and operated facilities, and collaborates with other ministries to ensure that school and hospital infrastructure meet the needs of Alberta's population.


Infrastructure provides accommodation services and manages a large portfolio of owned and leased facilities while maintaining fiscal accountability and optimizing value of Albertans.

Role Responsibilities:


The Maintenance Service Worker will trouble shoot building operational needs, correct where possible and report the findings to their immediate supervisor.

Providing building needs in cases of emergency or after hours.


Responsibilities:


  • Routine maintenance of boilers and other mechanical and auxiliary equipment within the assigned facility is performed in accordance with established policies, guidelines, and standards.
  • Preventative maintenance is performed on mechanical and auxiliary equipment within the assigned facility in accordance with established policies, guidelines, and standards.
  • Contract Compliance
Administrative and other services are provided in support of facility

Qualifications:


Required:

Some high school education, related training PLUS 2 years related experience
5th Class Power Engineering Certificate


Equivalency:

Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of
1 year of education for 1 year of experience;
Or 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.


Assets:

Experience with mechanical systems such as HVAC, Plumbing, Elevators etc.
Experience with Building Operations
