Job Summary


This position will report to the Director, Centre for Continuing Learning and is responsible for the successful development and delivery of all online for-credit courses and programs offered at Laurentian University, which includes all online examinations and their processes.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Successfully develops and delivers, ontime and within budget, all planned forcredit online courses and programs of Laurentian Online;
  • Oversees the entire exam function for Laurentian Online (online, invigilated, etc.);
  • Administers the course evaluation process;
  • Coordinates the onboarding of authors, reviewers, revisors, course supervisors and teaching assistants of forcredit online courses;
  • Coordinates communication with other service departments (admissions, registrar, liaison, IT, etc...) to ensure a smooth online experience for students and faculty;
  • Committed to the advancement and presence of Laurentian Online locally, provincially and nationally;
  • Oversees assignment contract and author/reviewer/revisor/course supervisor/teaching assistant contracts and payments; LUFA reporting obligations, and tracking of course supervisor PD;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 3 years of senior management experience (preferably in a postsecondary institution and with online/distance learning);
  • Master of Education, preferably in Online Education;
  • Strong data analysis and research skills;
  • Strong interpersonal and external relations skills;
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a diverse interdisciplinary team;
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and make sound decisions and creative problem solver;
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a fastpaced environment;
  • Excellent written and oral skills in French and English.

Hours of Work
The official University hours of operation shall be from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, during, and including, the months from September to April, and from 8:30 a.m.

to 4:00 p.m Monday through Friday during and including May to August., amounting to thirty-three and three-quarter hours per week.
