Reporting directly to our Vice President, Operations, NVA Canada is seeking a Division(al) Lead Central ON/GTA, for the company's Canadian Veterinary General Practice hospitals.

This is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact in supporting and overseeing the day-to-day operations of our growing hospital community and contribute to their growth.

What You'll Be Doing (but not limited to):

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of 30+ veterinary hospitals with full P&L responsibility of over $80M within the province of Ontario.
  • Partner and work directly with the hospitals and the Manager(s) of Regional Operations to improve processes & profitability, including identifying and implementing local growth initiatives.
  • Build and maintain exceptional relationships with hospital administrators, Managing Doctors, JV Partners, and their teams. This will extend to new practices as they are acquired, preserving their unique cultures as the hospitals grow.
  • Oversee and guide the hospitals through preclose support, the integration process and graduation into field operations.
  • Travel to hospitals within the region to support business decisions, leadership development, and operational efficiency all critical to success.
  • Balance the need for preserving each unique hospital culture, while ensuring future positive growth and innovation in partnership with what NVA Canada has to offer.

What You'll Bring to NVA Canada:

  • Business leadership: 10+ years of progressive operational management experience with a record of success.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Passion and understanding of the humananimal bond.
  • Veterinary / animal health or human health management experience is a plus.
  • You learn quickly and can rapidly absorb new information.
  • Selfmotivated while also expert at coaching and inspiring others.
  • Willingness to travel within your region up to 50% of the time.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to roll up your sleeves and get things done with enthusiastic participation.
  • Ability to navigate unique cultures within a decentralized environment.
  • Highly developed emotional IQ.

You'll love this role if you have:

  • Multi-site, multi-unit experience including full P&L responsibility, with the ability to adapt to a flexible location management model versus conformation to rigid standardization.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and knowledge of staffing, capacity, ROI, budget, margins, service and product offerings, to implement and drive strategic and relevant operational outcomes.
  • Results orientation as demonstrated by strong business planning skills and the ability to instill a sense of ownership and accountability in organizations. You will communicate objectives clearly; define meaningful performance measures, follow up regularly and provide coaching and assistance toward meeting goals.
  • Team leadership and collaboration as demonstrated by the ability to build relationships with local management teams, delegate appropriately, use the talents of the team in the best combination, and actively engage the team in collective problemsolving.
  • Strategic orientation as demonstrated by translating a vision into actionable plans and activities. You will have the ability to contribute to the company's overall strategy, resolve strategic issues, and help manage operations effectively to achieve objectives.
  • Commercial Orientation as demonstrated through improving profitability with a focus on revenue including as service mix and pricing and improving same store growth/margins.
  • Time management skills to manage priorities across and within several hospitals; ability to constantly revaluate and prioritize tasks and opportunities.
