Opportunity:
MacEwan University is seeking an individual for a full-time continuing opportunity as a Program Assistant (Admin Support III) with the School of Continuing Education.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Registering new and returning students for courses and collecting fee payment using PeopleSoft.
- Referring students to Program Manager/University Advisor for specific questions or concerns relating to the program or the instructor.
- Preparing reports, records and supporting documentation as directed by the unit supervisor.
- Assisting with the development of course schedules; booking rooms and equipment as required.
- Assisting in the development and distribution of marketing/program information.
- Assisting in the setup of LMS course information.
- Supporting instructors with material preparation, printing, etc.
- Processing invoices and payments.
SKILLS:
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail; proofreading and editing knowledge.
- Customer service skills.
- Computer skills including Microsoft, Meskanas (Moodle), and PeopleSoft.
- Expertise and competency with Microsoft Office suite, collaborative tools such as Google Drive, and other software.
- Strong interpersonal and problemsolving skills,
- Strong intercultural communication skills.
- Knowledge of registration systems.
- The ability to multitask.
- The ability to work with others in a team environment.
- The ability to work independently on assignments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of a Diploma in business or office administration or related specialization.
- A minimum of two (2) years' experience in a busy office environment supporting program delivery, collaborating effectively with crossfunctional teams and working with international students.
- Cross cultural experience from student activities, work, volunteering, or study abroad would be considered an asset.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
