Opportunity:


MacEwan University is seeking an individual for a full-time continuing opportunity as a Program Assistant (Admin Support III) with the School of Continuing Education.


Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Registering new and returning students for courses and collecting fee payment using PeopleSoft.
  • Referring students to Program Manager/University Advisor for specific questions or concerns relating to the program or the instructor.
  • Preparing reports, records and supporting documentation as directed by the unit supervisor.
  • Assisting with the development of course schedules; booking rooms and equipment as required.
  • Assisting in the development and distribution of marketing/program information.
  • Assisting in the setup of LMS course information.
  • Supporting instructors with material preparation, printing, etc.
  • Processing invoices and payments.

SKILLS:


  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail; proofreading and editing knowledge.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft, Meskanas (Moodle), and PeopleSoft.
  • Expertise and competency with Microsoft Office suite, collaborative tools such as Google Drive, and other software.
  • Strong interpersonal and problemsolving skills,
  • Strong intercultural communication skills.
  • Knowledge of registration systems.
  • The ability to multitask.
  • The ability to work with others in a team environment.
  • The ability to work independently on assignments.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • A minimum of a Diploma in business or office administration or related specialization.
  • A minimum of two (2) years' experience in a busy office environment supporting program delivery, collaborating effectively with crossfunctional teams and working with international students.
  • Cross cultural experience from student activities, work, volunteering, or study abroad would be considered an asset.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
