Role


The Account Supervisor is responsible for building the client relationship, following client processes, and supervising the team from project initiation to delivery.

Account Supervisors must be proactive in running initiatives while still being a team player and supporting the account team to deliver on client expectations.

Account Supervisors will focus on developing their strategic planning skills by assisting Account Directors or Group Account Directors in building workshops and participating in strategic and tactical planning.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee the team as they manage ongoing project progress, content development, and client priorities.
  • Ensure delivery of highquality communication products, on time and on budget, while managing and ensuring quality of our services to Clients (attention to detail, updated status and budget reports, organized communication, responsiveness)
  • Support the Account Director in developing the brand strategy, and ensure all projects link back to the strategy
  • Support the Account Director in organic growth opportunities
  • Experience in building estimates
  • Review campaign briefs and develop tactical briefs as required
  • Participation in financial meetings, to ensure finical health of projects
  • Ensure financial followup and billing requests internally (including budgets recaps and flagging overages to Account Directors in a timely fashion)
  • Maintain regular client contact at all levels and become integral part of client team, ensuring that the client is updated and briefed on all relevant account activity Ensure that all agency work represents the best we have to offer

  • Ensure that client is perceived positively within agency
  • Understand the client's perspective and challenges, and communicate these to the entire agency team
  • Ability to balance the needs of the client as well as the agency
  • Understands the codes and requirements of the country's regulatory bodies (PAAB/ASC/Health Canada, OPDP) and strategize internally and with the client on best approach

M
anagement Responsibilities

  • Assign work to assure project deadlines are met
  • Monitor overall workload to effect efficiency and assure that waiting or downtime is minimized
  • Keep supervisor or department head apprised of any workload challenges/concerns on assigned team accounts that may necessitate hiring freelance
  • Provide constructive and direct ongoing feedback to direct reports
  • Evaluate performance of direct reports and complete and deliver performance reviews
  • Help interview, train and orient new team members to the agency, department, and account(s) at the direction of department head

Qualifications

  • University Degree, preferably in marketing, advertising, communications, or science/medicine
  • 4 years Agency or comparable experience
  • Knowledge of healthcare and pharmaceutical practices
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong strategic potential and interest
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan and prioritize effectively
  • Proactive, cando attitude to finding solutions
  • Selfmotivation, willingness to stay up to date in a fastpaced environment, eng
