The Project Delivery Office (PDO) of the Business Technology Services department in Edmonton is currently seeking a motivated individual to fill the position of Delivery Manager.


The Delivery Manager works with various Directors within the organization and with other senior management levels to formulate and deliver the objectives and goals that support the long-term technology vision of the department or program.

The position functions as a champion on behalf of the department and is accountable to the Director for adoption of and success of the initiatives.


As a Delivery Manager you are accountable to ensure all policy, procedural, legal, adopted best practices and other obligations are adhered to in development of the program and execution of services.

The Delivery Manager position is integral in ensuring solid development and change processes are maintained and contributes directly to the refinement/advancement of these best practices on an ongoing basis.

In addition, the position holds direct accountability to ensure the visions and objectives of their client group(s) are incorporated into the larger strategic Business Systems Planning process.


In this position you will be responsible to author, review, approve and/or facilitate the creation of deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

As well, manage WCB project resources (human & capital) to ensure the requirements, outcomes, and deliverables are met within the commitments and expectations established for the projects.

Ensure that all deliverables and processes adhere to the principles, approaches, standards, and requirements of the WCB methodologies.


The position holds direct accountability to ensure the visions and objectives are incorporated into the larger strategic Business Systems Planning exercises and that adequate updates are provided into that process.


Your experience and skills:

  • Several years' experience assembling cross functional teams to execute and successfully deliver projects on a Business Systems Plan.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to report to all levels of the organization (Technical, Business, and all levels of management).
  • Superior analytical skills are needed to manage complex situations and balance varied situations with sometimes conflicting objectives.
  • Must be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and pressure filled situations.
  • Negotiation, conflict management, and collaboration skillset is a must.
  • Project Management experience
  • Experience working as a Business Analyst is considered an asset
  • Experience working on Agile projects is considered an asset.
  • Possession or pursuit of the PMP designation is an asset.
  • A degree or diploma in a computer related discipline or equivalent.

Salary:
Grade 13 $91,308 to $124,096 per annum (includes Market Supplement)
