What is the Opportunity:


Reporting to the Vice-President, Commercial Mortgages, you will be part of a team that manages an investment portfolio of approximately $5 billion.

Specifically, you will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks that involve funding commercial mortgages and maintaining portfolio analytics.

You will work closely with internal and external parties to ensure that established internal practices and guidelines are followed.


What you will do:


  • You ensure loans fund in accordance with established processes and guidelines;
  • You work efficiently with internal and external stakeholders (originators, administrators, brokers, consultants and solicitors);
  • You adhere to internal procedures and clients' policies;
  • You analyse and code information including leases, financial statements and appraisals;
  • You assist in the identification of risks associated with commercial mortgage lending;
  • You maintain key internal and market data, which supports overall portfolio management.

What you will need to succeed:


Experience and Knowledge:


  • You have a university degree in Finance, Business or related discipline; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience;
  • You have proficiency in MS Office suite, with strong Excel expertise; and some experience with Power BI;
  • You have a strong interest in growing your knowledge of the commercial real estate industry;
  • Previous commercial lending experience or paralegal real estate experience would be an asset;

Skills and Abilities:


  • You are a selfstarter that shows initiative and accountability;
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • You have the ability to work independently and as a team player;
  • You have effective analytical and problemsolving skills;
  • You have timemanagement skills with an ability to prioritize and multitask;
  • You have the ability to work in a fastpaced environment with accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Fluency in French would be considered an asset.
