St Barbara is searching for great people like you to fill a Security Guard position (full-time, contract) at our open-pit gold mine in Moose River Gold Mines, NS.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Pay: $20.60/hour
  • Production bonus up to $500/month
- $250/month bonus for Emergency Response Team (optional)

  • 10 days of vacation; 4% vacation pay
  • Overtime hours available

Schedule

  • Contract ends July 31, 202
  • Fulltime (42 hours/week)
  • 4 days on, 4 days off
  • 12hour shifts; days and nights
  • Day shift: 7:00 am 7:00 pm; Night shift: 7:00 pm 7:00 am

Duties

  • Screening and signing in and out employees, visitors, suppliers, and their belongings.
  • Maintaining surveillance; conducting periodic indoor and outdoor foot and vehicle patrols; reporting irregularities and wrongdoing.
  • Responding to first aid and security emergencies.
  • Ensuring contractor health and safety compliance.
  • Enforcing company policies and procedures.
  • Completing access control procedures.

Requirements:


  • Valid driver's license, minimum Class 5 or equivalent
