The Opportunity
You set the stage for the Community Knowledge Campus's first impression and ongoing commitment to service excellence.

The exceptional service and informative details regarding Community Knowledge Campus offerings including memberships and programming opportunities to all guests and members is of utmost importance for your role.

Your role requires extended periods of time on your feet. Other physical tasks may include laundry, receiving shipments, restocking shelves and cleaning.


Responsibilities

  • Anticipate and personalize service for each guest creating an exceptional, safe and stressfree experience.
  • Facilitate access to the facility through membership or dropin payment.
  • Handle various forms of payment including cash, debit and credit cards.
  • Ensure the Community Knowledge Campus (CKC) guidelines and procedures are followed in accordance with safety and other regulating standards.
  • Accurately complete registration and membership sales transactions with our membership and registration management system.
  • Sales of service, membership or program opportunities through genuine curiosity, knowledge and engagement of guests. Presenting what will best serve the individual needs of our guests.
  • Handle concerns with empathy and solve guest challenges with empowerment.
  • Maintain eye contact, smiling and a genuine interest in each of our guests and coworkers.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and commitment to teamwork in a familyfriendly and communityfocused atmosphere.
  • Provide leadership in safety emergencies as outlined in our health and safety program.

You Bring

  • A natural communicator with a genuinely positive and empathetic personality.
  • Proven experience in the customer service industry, with no less than 2 years' experience in a guestfacing role.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with computers, and recent experience working with a Windowsbased software environment.
  • Proven proficiency and accuracy in cash handling and reconciliation are necessary.
  • Flexibility to work shift work on a rotational schedule which includes early mornings, days, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • An ability to multitask in a fastpaced, timesensitive environment.
  • An ability to use handheld radios and microphones to communicate with operation teams and make facility announcements.
  • A professional, wellgroomed appearance, able to represent the Community Knowledge Campus (CKC) and City of Grande Prairie brand to our guests and teammates.
  • Fluency in the English language, both oral and written (fluency in another language may be considered as an asset).

Hours
Monday-Saturday from 5 am - 11:30 pm and Sunday from 7:30 am - 10:15 pm. Rotation will include shift work during evenings and weekends.


Compensation
Starting Salary $25.91 per hour as per the Out-of-Scope Agreement (Band B, Entry Step)
