DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Medical Imaging Manager provides leadership and direction for various modalities in order to ensure effective and efficient delivery of high quality patient care within the program.

In collaboration with the Director, physician leaders, other managers and staff, the manager will actively advance the design and implementation of new models of health care delivery including implementing new equipment and information technology advances, new methods of teaching and learning, and new models of shared accountability for clinical and financial outcomes within relevant areas.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Completion of a recognized program in a relevant discipline or recognized equivalent.
Registered member of the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) required
Completion of a bachelor's degree an asset.
Minimum of 45 years experience leadership/managerial experience required.
Extensive knowledge of the Medical Imaging field required.
Extensive knowledge of RIS/PACS and IT systems preferred.
A strong record of leadership, management and administration.
Strong communication and coaching skills.
Vision, passion, and a commitment to successful outcomes through collaboration.
Change oriented and possess an attitude of continuous improvement required.
Ability to effectively handle a large number of issues/projects simultaneously and work well under pressure required.
Demonstrated commitment to continuing education.
Must be able to work well with, communicate and interact with all levels of management.
Experience working in a unionized environment an asset.
Formal Credentials and experience in Quality Improvement a strong asset.
Demonstrated commitment to the Mission and Values of St. Michael's Hospital.
