Responsibilities:


  • Responsible to keep his team on track. Determines meeting times for their team.
  • Responsible to move the Project forward and to succeed in having happy customers.
  • Reporting issues/problems/successes to Management. Escalation Channel, i.e., act as a conduit to escalate any matter that cannot be resolved. Urgent and Critical matters are communicated to the management.
  • Ensuring QA and standard of work exceeds or is upto Client expectations together with his/her team.
  • Identifying and developing new opportunities with Clients' expectations together with his/her team.
  • Creating Critical Path Schedule with their team and ensuring the Project is on schedule.
  • Resolving issues with the team once highlighted.
  • Evaluate submitted bids from the subcontractors for changeorders.
  • Timely award LOI and Purchase Orders to the subcontractors based on Management approval.
  • Facilitating and finalizing change requests and ensuring that all parties are informed of the impacts on Schedule and Budget.
  • Reports Actual vs. Estimated Targets and conclusions to Management.
  • Responsible for postproject evaluation and identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Evaluates and reports to Management the level of overall Customer Satisfaction.

Requirements:

- **Valid Class G driver's license and clean driving record

  • Must provide driver's abstract
  • Academic background in Engineering.
  • 3 to 10 years of experience in a progressive construction environment.
  • In depth knowledge of the construction industry, including but not limited to building materials, methods and procedures, applicable building codes, and construction laws.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in implementing health and safety procedures in the workplace in accordance to legislation.
  • Strong leadership, planning, and time management skills to effectively manage project budgets and schedules.

To work on TTC projects you must have:

  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Certified Engineer Technologist (C.E.T.) in the Province of Ontario.

OR


Completed a two (2) year community college program combined with a minimum of five (5) years' general work experience in construction.


OR


Completed a one (1) year community college program combined with a minimum of ten (10) years' general work experience in construction.


OR
Attained a minimum of fifteen (15) years' general work experience in construction.


AND
Minimum five (5) years' work experience as project manager, obtained on contracts of comparable complexity and scope.
