Overview:
Fountain Tire is looking for afternoon shift supervisors for their warehouse in Saskatoon.

This role would work closely with the Distribution Manager to lead the warehouse team and help to ensure timely and accurate fulfilment of orders.

Responsibilities:


  • Lead the shipping operations of the distribution centre with the goal of:
  • Releasing picking lists to ship product accurately and on time based on commitments made to the customer
  • Controlling inventory accurately to minimize any inventory value variances or discrepancies
  • Inspecting and ensuring quality control
  • Responding to any shipping discrepancies in a timely manner based on service level commitments
  • Coordinate the processing of outgoing products; preparing and loading material in a timely manner to meet delivery deadlines, arranging transportation of materials as required, ensuring tracking of outgoing product is accurate, and achieving customer commitments.
  • Create and ensure adherence to shipping schedules for large Booking Orders.
  • Determine the method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates.
  • Complete packing slips, invoices and Bill of Ladings; and attach all necessary paperwork to each shipment, obtain signatures for any customer pickups, transport drivers, and couriers.
  • Work in any warehouse department when necessary to ensure products are loaded and accounted for in an accurate and efficient way.
  • Ensure end to end warehouse processes are completed and adhered to by warehouse associates. This includes adherence to outbound procedures with a goal for on time delivery, and standardized operational procedures for the current system.
  • Work with contracted freight companies to manage shipping discrepancies, and to ensure on time delivery of product to customers.
  • Responsible for growing and developing a progressive shipping team through industry and career focused Learning and Development, ongoing performance feedback, and open communication.
  • Ensure the Program of Safety Excellence is adhered to and kept current according to the program and legislated requirements.
  • Responsible for ensuring all designated products have been accounted for and picked up by the allocated carriers before completing the day.
  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Warehouse experience required, leadership role preferred
  • Tire Industry experience an asset
