Job Description:


Responsibilities:


  • Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to safety in all aspects of work.
  • Develop and manage client-facing relationships to ensure client satisfaction and foster long-term partnerships.
  • Develop strategic proposals and budgets to support work opportunities and contribute to the growth of the Environment business line's backlog.
  • Regularly communicate and collaborate with regulators, clients, and other AECOM technical staff and project managers.
  • Provide technical expertise in support of AECOM impact assessment and permitting projects, including reviewing work scopes and client deliverables.
  • Demonstrate creativity and foresight in anticipating and resolving routine and unusual project delivery and technical problems.
  • Mentor team members to help them reach their full potential.

Qualifications:


Minimum Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (Aquatics, Water Quality, Marine Biology, Environment Related Technical discipline, etc.).
  • At least 8 years of consulting experience leading environmental projects.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Master's degree in a relevant discipline (Aquatics, Water Quality, Marine Biology, Environment Related Technical discipline, etc.).
  • Registered Professional Biologist (RPBio) with the College of Applied Biology (or eligible for registration).
  • Over 10 years of consulting experience leading projects in British Columbia or across Canada.
  • Strong client management skills, with a proven track record of building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Business development mindset, with a demonstrated ability to identify and pursue opportunities in the environmental business sector in Canada.
  • Effectiveness in building working relationships and collaborating in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with Federal Impact Assessments.
  • Proven success in winning opportunities in the environmental business sector in Canada.
  • Interest and capability to take on project management duties, including schedule and budget control, client contact, and proposal writing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Positive attitude, can-do mindset, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
