We are hiring a Social Media Coordinator and that could be you

What does a Social Media Coordinator do?


You will be responsible for creating original content and suggesting creative ways to attract more customers and promote our brand.

Ultimately, you should be able to increase web traffic and customer engagement metrics aligned with broader marketing strategies.


Responsibilities:


  • Research audience preferences and discover current trends
  • Create engaging text, image and video content (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts etc.)
  • Design posts to sustain readers' curiosity and create buzz
  • Stay uptodate with changes in all social platforms ensuring maximum effectiveness
  • Facilitate online conversations with customers and respond to queries
  • Report on online reviews and feedback from customers
  • Develop an optimal posting schedule, considering web traffic and customer engagement metrics
  • Create and maintain a social media content calendar
  • Research and advise on social media best practices
  • Monitor and report on social media analytics for all platforms
  • Respond to comments and messages on all social media platforms
  • Attend campus events to capture new photos/videos and cover events on Facebook/Instagram/TikTok Live
  • Innovate new and fresh approaches to ensure that Oxford College is maximizing social media channels and reaching new audiences
  • Other duties as assigned to meet the everchanging landscape of social media.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • Proven experience with managing social media for business
  • Passion for social media and proficiency with major social media platforms and social media management tools
  • Have strong writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills
  • Expertise in creating content (text, image and video) for multiple social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube etc.)
  • Ability to understand historical, current, and future trends in the digital content and social media space and act proactively
  • Proficiency in analyzing social media accounts, engagement, and identifying areas for improvements
  • Be a selfstarter who is thrilled by engagement rates and the latest media trends
  • Energetic, ability to represent and promote the Oxford College brand
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with Adobe and Canva

You'll also need to have:

  • A valid Ontario Class G driver's license
  • Access to your own vehicle to travel to campuses
