Job Summary


The Data Clerk is responsible for the intake and review of data from the Cardiac Surgery and Structural Heart Programs.

The Data Clerk completes procedural onlisting, offlisting, and captures complications in the CoreHealth and Southlake database. The Data Clerk reconciles data weekly to ensure the accuracy of the data submitted to CoreHealth database.

The Data Clerk collaborates with the Coordinators from the Cardiac Surgery, Structural Heart, and Royal Victoria Hospital (RVH) Cath Lab to manage waitlist data.

The Data Clerk works closely with the Cardiac Surgery Manager to review, interpret, and report data to the Cardiac Surgery CST and Quality Committees.


Qualifications

  • Two years of clerical duties in a health care environment required
  • Experience in collection of data from chart reviews and data entry required
  • Preparation of various detailed statistical reports required
  • Proficiency in computer skills (word processing (Word for Windows), spreadsheet (Excel) and database management (access), PowerPoint
  • Must be flexible with ability to set priorities and manage timelines
  • Work independently with mínimal supervision and functions effectively within a team
  • Demonstrates excellence in communication, both written and verbal
  • Analysis / problem assessment
  • Innovative and willing to learn
  • Commitment to customer service and teamwork
  • Demonstrates individual leadership skills
