Job summary/duties:
Duties related to the laboratory infrastructure:
- Managing a state-of-the-art multi-million-dollar laboratory infrastructure
- Sorting, allocating, and monitoring the laboratory infrastructure include the test and measurement laboratory equipment and the testbed infrastructure.
- Training of the graduate students on highly specialized equipment including but not limited to highspeed arbitrary waveform generator, bit error rate tester, realtime oscilloscope, vector network analyzer, automated testbed infrastructure.
- Ordering, receiving, unpacking, and verifying various pieces of equipment related to the laboratory.
- Maintaining good recordkeeping practices while adhering to quality and safety programs
Duties related to research and development:
- Project manager for ongoing research program including industrial collaboration and internal collaborations.
- Teach and train graduate students about photonic integrated circuits, optical processors, and quantum computing.
- Simulate, design, and experimentally validate photonic integrated circuits for optical computing.
- Manage multiple design fabrication tape outs per year. Review and validate graduate students' designs to ensure they meet design specifications and fabrication requirements.
- Develop and manage an open access process design kit (PDK) belonging to the group, aimed at disseminating our developed building blocks to the research and industry communities.
- Develop and assist in the writing of grant proposals to secure funding.
- Publish work in highranking scientific peerreviewed journals to share findings and disseminate knowledge within the scientific community.
- Submit work to reputable international conferences to disseminate research, receive feedback from peers, and initial possible international collaboration with researchers.
- Review manuscripts and conference papers submitted by graduate students to provide constructive feedback and ensure highquality research.
Qualifications:
The appointee will have a doctoral degree or equivalent educational credential and at least five years research experience, appointed to conduct research independently or as a member of a research team.

The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level # 4 on a scale of 0-4.
