JOB SUMMARY


The Sales Coordinator is responsible for all areas of sales according to the standards of our combined facilities, the Ottawa Conference and Event Centre, and the Hampton Inn Ottawa, in order to achieve a professional rapport with the local business community.

We are looking for a detail-oriented sales coordinator to contribute to achieving sales targets by supporting sales representatives, coordinating sales activities, and maintaining good customer relationships.

The sales coordinator's responsibilities include supporting sales, coordinating with other departments, motivating staff, handling administrative duties, and promoting customer satisfaction.

To be a successful sales coordinator, you should have excellent organizational, administrative, and problem-solving skills. You should also possess strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is responsible for the following tasks:

  • Helping the sales team to improve their productivity by contacting customers to arrange appointments and ensuring all sales representatives have high-quality, up-to-date support material.
  • Inputting orders, ensuring they are processed according to customer requirements, and ensuring all orders are accurate and delivered on time.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure sales, marketing, queries, and deliveries are handled efficiently.
  • Developing and maintaining filing systems so as to maintain sales records, prepare reports, and provide financial information to the finance department.
  • Making the company's services as attractive to potential customers as possible.
  • Ensuring adherence to laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Attend essential sales training meetings and develop an understanding of all the company's services and products.
  • Establish active communication and engagement with sales representatives to ensure that orders are processed promptly.
  • Support front desk when needed
  • Other tasks as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be bilingual.
  • 2 or more years' experience in sales.
  • Experience as a sales coordinator or in administration may be advantageous.
  • Good team development and leadership skills.
  • Computer literacy. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Have a strong work ethic and are eager to learn and make new sales with customers, including addon services.
  • Be strongly skilled in organization, problemsolving, customer service, and multitasking while being committed to excellence.
  • Good administrative, organizational, and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent communication, sales, and customer service skills.
  • The ability to multitask, work in a fastpaced environment, and meet deadlines.
  • Current knowledge of industry trends and regulations.

Education Requirements

  • General Education Diploma (GED)
  • Business Administration considered an asset
