POSITION FUNCTION


The Business Development Relationship Manager has the primary responsibilities of ensuring current Sponsor/CRO relationships stay strong by keeping a regular meeting cadence and key contacts engaged and expanding the relationships into new accounts and key contacts.

In addition, the BDRM will assist with all preconference strategy and handle target Therapeutic areas ensuring those pipelines stay robust and studies move through to award.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Oversee and manage the structure of all partnerships and preferred relationships while expanding into new relationships.
  • Maintain productive, profitable, and friendly business relationships and partnerships with the clinical research industry (sponsors, CROs, brokers, and hyperCORE alliance & VaxCorps members)
  • Assist the Exe Director with annual conference planning, ensuring key conferences in each TA are targeted and attended.
  • Oversight on each preconference strategy project and preparation ensuring high level meetings are set and key contacts are met.
  • Handle assigned target Therapeutic Areas and provide oversight on the strategic pipeline for sites considering business opportunities, account planning, financial targeting, and customer service needs
  • Ensure desired studies are moved from feasibility questionnaire to award in a rapid manner reducing all barriers to ensure the process is client centric
  • Develop working relationships with key decision makers in site selection
  • Identify clinical trial opportunities through industry research and related events, publications, and announcements
  • Screen potential trial opportunities through market analysis strategies, operations requirements, potential financial impact, medical acceptance, and resolving internal priorities
  • Lead feasibility meetings discussions to create a robust, efficient, timely, and fluid Feasibility process
  • Effectively convey to all internal groups regarding deadlines, outstanding needs, requirements, and expectations
  • Close new study deals by coordinating requirements with all internal teams
  • Ensure exposure to new CROs, Pharma, and Biotech, while focusing on site requested indications and expanding trial opportunities into new therapeutic areas
  • Maintain pristine CRM databases and reports
  • Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations
  • Remain current with changes and use of software to improve productivity
  • Attentive to detail, accuracy, timeliness, and excellence
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- **Minimum**: Clinical research experience preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Physical demands include but not limited to prolonged sitting, light lifting, standing, reaching, walking, and bending.
  • Frequently required to complete work on the computer in a seated position
  • May be required to lift light boxes lbs)

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Modern medical office environment or home office environment
  • Required to follow OSHA and CCOHS guidelines, in addition to other local healthcare regulations
  • Required to perform duties in relation to HIPAA, PIDEDA, and other local privacy regulations
  • Some positions may require overnight/weekend hours
