Valard Construction USA is a premier utility contractor based out of the US and part of the Quanta Group, the largest electrical power contractor in North America.
Valard has full-service capabilities for transmission, distribution, substations, foundations, telecommunications, and renewable energy. Valard Construction USA is a non-union US contractor.Requirements:
- Erect and maintain steel, wood or concrete poles, towers, and guy wires.
- Install, maintain, and repair overhead and underground power lines and cables, insulators, conductors, lightning arrestors, switches, transformers, street lighting and other associated equipment.
- Splice, solder and insulate conductors and related wiring to connect power distribution and transmission networks.
- Opens and closes switches and installs grounding devices to lines and equipment.
- Have knowledge and expertise in the areas of construction, maintenance, and repair of both distribution and transmission power systems, coupled with the ability to follow instructions and procedures.
Experience:
- Previous experience in the power line industry as a lineman, operator, or groundman.
- Live line & rubber glove experience an asset.
- Must have valid passport.
- Minimum valid Class 5 Driver's License.
