- Assist with research into relevant privacy legislation to develop and maintain current privacy program documentation and policies
- Support the data incident management process and response to requests for information about the privacy program and policies
- Support internal projects and processes such as procurement and vendor management and Information Technology Projects to provide guidance and advice for the procurement of technology solutions and the design and deployment of operational and technical solutions that employ a lifecycle approach including the principle of privacy by design
- Assist with privacy impact assessments (PIAs)
- Assist with the assessment of data sensitivity classifications
- Collaborate with the Enterprise Records Manager to develop data retention and disposal plans/strategies for personal information
- Assist with the development and implementation of Privacy and Data Risk Management Plans
- Assist with compliance review and implement privacy risk mitigation strategies

Here's a few more boxes we're also hoping you can tick:
- University degree in a business, technology, law or information management discipline
- A privacy certification to demonstrate knowledge of Canadian privacy law, such as IAPP CIPP/C is strongly desired, and CIPT designation is encouraged
- 1+ years of experience in a similar role
- A strong interest in information management and privacy and a desire to build your career in privacy program management
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships in a business environment
- Have an aptitude for program management including an interest in drafting policy, documenting processes, and executing program management tasks
- Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing and a professional demeanour
- A cando, collaborative spirit with enthusiasm for learning from your colleagues and mentors
