The Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) Coordinator, under the direction of the Clinical Manager - Mental Health Rehabilitation Program, is responsible for fostering a culture of psychosocial rehabilitation and recovery guided by PSR/recovery principles of care and best practices.

The PSR Coordinator supports the interprofessional team and program in facilitating a client centered, PSR model of care focused on rehabilitation, recovery and community integration.


Qualifications:


Education/Experience:


  • Minimum qualification includes undergraduate degree in a health care field and registered member in good standing with applicable professional college
  • Minimum five years experience in adult mental healthcare inpatient setting

Skills/Abilities:


  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations, information sessions, and education modules to groups or individually using language appropriate to the audience
  • Superior ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing and through a variety of means
  • Effective listening, observation and facilitation skills to effectively assess the client and provide appropriate treatment and consultation
  • Ability to independently plan and balance diverse and conflicting workload pressures, in a timely manner accomplishing program goals while meeting client needs
  • Strong project/time management, analytical/critical thinking, problemsolving, and decision making skills
  • Demonstrated accuracy, organizational skills, problemsolving and multitasking skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse client groups with varying levels of comprehension and language capabilities
  • Ability to function and contribute as an effective team member and to work independently
  • Ability to use independent judgment and maintain confidentiality of records, actions, and information
  • Excellent critical thinking, interpersonal, diplomatic and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Demonstrated knowledge, understanding, and commitment to clientcentred care
  • Must be competent within the meaning of the Occupational Health & Safety Act
  • Demonstrated regular attendance at work

CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT

  • Must maintain certifications
  • Will be required to travel to various work locations and provide own reliable transportation
  • This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
