Parts Person - Edmonton, Canada - Canadian Dewatering
Description
The Parts Person processes parts orders, prepares pick lists for printing and picking and coordinates service calls and follow-up.Responsibilities:

- Manages parts inventory, makes inventory corrections, adjustments, and price changes.
- Orders/ receives necessary parts by creating purchase orders based upon parts needed and submits to appropriate vendors.
- Enters product receipts into the operating system and prepares pick lists for open service parts orders.
- Setsup and maintains new product records and shipping information.
- Coordinates the transfer of parts.
- Follows up with parts orders.
- Provides ETA's for backorders and expedites delivery when required.
- Answers all telephone inquiries from customers/ sales and processes requests.
- Assesses variances between actual expenditures and estimated amounts in the purchase orders.
- Coordinates activities with other departments and divisions.
- Responds to emergency situations as necessary.
- Provide quality customer service to our external and internal customers.
- Wear, and participate in the ongoing training of, the required PPE for this position.
- Lead by example with integrity.
- Other tasks and special projects as assigned by the direct supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of the practices, methods, and techniques used in the performance of work as assigned.
- Knowledge of HSE Manual, safety practices, safe work methods and safety regulations.
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook) is an asset.
- Demonstrated initiative in identifying and taking on projects and duties.
- Organizational skills; ability to meet deadlines, selfstarter, and a quick learner.
- Ability to handle a large workload volume.
- Ability to identify and implement effective courses of action to complete assigned work.
- Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, packing slips and invoices.
- Ability to be flexible and to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with those encountered in the course of the work.
- Able to coordinate work assignments with other workers, divisions, or departments.
Education & Experience:
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience an asset.
