INSTRUCTIONAL ASSISTANT, INTERDISCIPLINARY THERAPY**
FACULTY OF HEALTH STUDIES


NorQuesters are difference makers and we're searching for someone dedicated to finding ways forward to join our Faculty of Health Studies team as casual Instructional Assistant in our Interdisciplinary Therapy Assistant (ITA) program.


If you are someone who is looking to join our innovative team in taking therapy assistant education to the next level of excellence, then the ITA Instructional Assistant position is for you.

Reporting to the Program Chair, the Instructional Assistant will work alongside like-minded individuals dedicated to helping our learners acquire the knowledge, skills, and competencies required for future practice in rehabilitation.

This position requires someone who is dependable, possesses excellent communication skills, likes to work with people, and has a desire to play at work & work at play.


As a NorQuest Instructional Assistant, you will facilitate student learning in a variety of methods, though a key component will be to support hands-on labs.

In the Instructional Assistant role, you will assess, monitor, and provide feedback to the students in order to facilitate the successful completion of their diploma program.

As an Instructional Assistant, you will support and collaborate with the instructors to ensure effective course delivery for the students.

This is a casual opportunity until June 30, 2023 with possibility of extension.

  • Support in the preparation and delivery of instructional material for both theory and lab courses.
  • Support the student learning in both online and inperson classes.
  • Coordination and maintenance of the lab.
  • Manage student progress and provide resources to enhance student learning.
  • Model professional behaviour.
  • Maintain appropriate student records and reports.
  • Liaise with other instructional team members.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Therapy Assistant Diploma.
  • A Police Information Check within the last ninety days.
  • A Vulnerable Sectors Check within the last thirty days.
  • Uptodate immunization records.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively on a team.
  • Experience teaching or mentoring others.
  • Clinical experience assisting Physical and Occupational therapists.
  • Superior organizational skills.

SALARY:
$ reflective upon what you bring, AKA your education and experience. This is a casual opportunity until June 30, 2023 with the possibility of extension and includes 11.2% in lieu of vacation and benefits.


SCHEDULE:2 to 5 days per week, must be available Thursdays and Fridays in April, and Wednesdays in May and June.
