The Landing Gear Market specializes in the design, qualification, manufacture and repair and overhaul of landing gears and flight critical components to a customer base that extends from the OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to the Operators in both the commercial and military markets.


Summary of position:


The Program Manager is responsible to manage the customer contract and being the single point of contact within the organization.

He communicates the contract requirements to other departments and ensures the interest of the organization.

The primary objective is to take ownership of the programs to reach the internal deadlines, the on-time delivery to the customer, the quality requirements of the product and also to secure the cost structure and margins.

The ability to use informal leadership to influence people and get their support is a key to success for this role.


Main responsibilities:


  • Point of contact for commercial customers for the management of Spare Parts and Repairs;
  • Translate contract into specific activities for the other departments within the company and
ensure a rigorous follow-up;

  • Responsible for the Planning of Receipts and Deliveries of Spare Parts
  • Coordinate with the Purchasing team to ensure that supplier orders are in line with
customer delivery dates;

  • Coordinate the shipment of parts to the customer;
  • Responsible for the Planning of Repairs:
  • Follow up with the Repair Centers for the preparation of commercial proposals, and for on
- time delivery;

  • Responsible for the management of spare parts stocks, identifies opportunities for inventory
reduction and business opportunities;

  • Respond to customer requests in the event of urgent deliveries (AOG or others), ensures the
balance between customer satisfaction and the interests of the company

  • Creates a recovery plan if required and ensures deployment of the efforts;
  • Prepares and coordinates program reviews internally and to the customers;
  • Communicate improvement opportunities and inefficiencies to senior management;
  • Manage requirements and customer complaints and uses the contract in case of commercial
dispute;

  • Collaborates in the preparation of quotes on Spare Parts and Repairs, and remains on the
lookout for new business opportunities with the customer;

  • Support the Finance department with accounts receivable.

Qualifications:


  • University degree in Business Administration, Engineering or equivalent;
  • Experience in the manufacturing sector, preferably in the aerospace industry;
  • Bilingual English and French (spoken and written); any addional language is an asset
  • Microsoft Office ability;
  • Experience in supplier of major mechanical aircraft part will be considered an asset;
  • Knowledge of AS9100 and BaaN (MRP) will be considered an asset.
