    Position Overview


    Under the general supervision of the SUPERVISOR, ACCOUNTING, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values, and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface General Hospital, the PATIENT ACCOUNTS CLERK is responsible for receiving and/or obtaining, sorting, verifying, investigating and maintaining source documents relating to patient billing; processing source documents in a computerized accounts receivable system, including data entry, billing, adjustments and remittances; assisting other Patients Accounts personnel; sorting and filing payment responsibility forms; and performing other related duties as required.

    Experience

    • One (1) year related experience.

    Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

    • Grade 12, or equivalent.
    • Successful completion of a recognized program of Clerical Bookkeeping or equivalent at the certificate level.

    • Keyboard speed: 45 wpm.
    • Ability to work in a Windows operating environment.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
    • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

    • Ability to retain information which is confidential in nature.
    • Ability to work with accuracy.
