About the Role
The Bridge is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to provide support to the Recovery & Addictions leadership team.

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing cross-program scheduling support, filling short calls, reconciling clock-ins and time sheet discrepancies, completing new employee orientations, assisting with employment reference checks and interview scheduling and document management.


Position:
Full Time 40 hours/week. Afternoon/Evening & Weekend work is applicable to this position on a rotation basis at Program Sites.


Compensation:
$24.04-$28.02 per hour plus applicable shift premiums

  • Evening shift premium additional $3.00 per hour between 1900hr0700hr
  • Weekend shift premium additional $2.00 per hour between 2400hr (midnight) Friday 2400hr (midnight) Sunday
  • Shift premiums compound
- additional $5.00 per hour between 1900hr-0700hr on 2400hr (midnight) Friday - 2400hr (midnight) Sunday


Indirect Compensation

  • Extended Health and Dental benefits after the 3 month probationary period
  • 9.31% Pension matching after the 3 month probationary period
  • 3 weeks vacation pay which increases with length of service

Qualifications

  • Education and experience_
  • Diploma in Office Administration, Accounting, Bookkeeping or Payroll and/or combination of education and experience
  • 3 years of high level administration, scheduling or payroll experience
  • Job skills and abilities_
  • Demonstrated organizational and task management skills
  • Experience with creating and maintaining schedules
  • Experience working with a HRIS/payroll system
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing and deal effectively with the public
  • Ability to organize work and carry out the duties of the position with independence
  • Other requirements_
  • Ability to provide proof of COVID19 Vaccination or letter of exemption
  • Ability to provide Criminal Record Check in accordance with agency policy
  • Midday / Evening and weekend work is applicable to this position
  • Clean, valid BC driver's license and use of reliable vehicle
