Heavy Equipment Appraiser / Buyer, Used

Our vision is to have the largest, most diverse, quality inventory of infrastructure maintenance equipment available in North America._

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct extensive market research to identify potential sellers of used heavy equipment; auctions, private sellers, dealerships etc.
Evaluate the condition and value of the piece of equipment through inspections, assessments and test runs
Complete tradein evaluations using internal process and parameters
Negotiate and finalize purchase agreements with sellers
Collaborate effectively with our service departments to obtain quotes and recommendations on equipment repairs; reviewing and approving repairs needed
Maintain accurate records of all transactions, equipment details and relevant documentation
Conduct quality control inspections on units completed from service and ready for sale
Partner with applicable dealer in regions where direct sales occur
Participate in territory mapping and market trends

POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract and possess or have the ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or equivalent in respective region
Post-Secondary diploma or degree in Business & Marketing, Automotive, or a related program preferred but not required
Valid Passport for cross border travelling (Canada/US)
5+ years' experience in equipment sales, equipment training, mechanical role or a related role
