Position Summary:

The Program Manager, Airport Employee Experience will join the Sustainability and Social Impact (SSI) team. SSI delivers measurable workforce and community engagement and social impact across priority programs.

The team actively engages an array of complex stakeholders with the goal of strengthening relationships and building bridges between airport operations and the airport community and neighbors by generating beneficial social, economic and environmental impacts.


The Program Manager will lead the strategic planning, development and execution of airport-wide employee experience programs and campaigns that engage and celebrate the airport worker community at Canada's busiest airport.

This includes accountability for the I Am Toronto Pearson (IATP) employee experience program. The Program Manager will also provide senior level counsel and execution on multi-channel communications strategies.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Conceptualize and deliver airportwide employee experience programs and campaigns that engage and celebrate the airport worker community and builds a shared culture of excellent customer service, inclusion, and pride
  • Lead the implementation of the I Am Toronto Pearson program that rallies airport employees around shared culture, values, and a positive experience
  • Chair and/or administration of airportwide worker committees and councils to help guide execution of programs
  • Sponsor and support delivery of communication strategies, compelling storytelling and content strategy across all communications channels, including the IATP social media accounts, newsletter, interminal visuals and other channels as required
  • Lead a comprehensive program evaluation that assesses impact and guides/redirects program priorities
  • Scope and execute workforce behavioural and demographic surveys as inputs to program priorities
  • Collaborate with promotional partners, agencies, vendors, and service providers as needed
  • Budget oversight and ensuring all spending is tracked and accounted for within guidelines of agreement

Qualifications:


  • Undergraduate degree in Marketing, or Public Relations/Communications or Related Field
  • 5 years of professional work experience in marketing, communications, or related field
  • Previous experience in designing and implementing employee experience drivers and methodologies, with a proven track record of improving employee retention
  • Experience dealing with varied communities, community groups, community engagement programming.
  • Project management experience, including experience developing, implementing and evaluation programs and work plans an asset
  • Must have a Valid G Driver's License
  • Able to obtain and retain Transportation Security Clearance at the designated level for the position

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • A highly strategic, selfstarter with outstanding project management and relationshipbuilding skills.
  • Possess a passion for and knowledge of employee experience and engagement, including experience running engagement surveys and communicating results
  • Experience building and executing engagement campaigns and event activation within a sophisticated, constantly revolving environment
  • Experience working in a complex stakeholder ecosystem, navigating a diversity of interests and priorities to build consensus and rally support in alignment with organizational strategy
  • Strong project management skills and experience leading sophisticated largescale projects and campaigns
  • Extensive experience in activations and logistics, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
  • Consistent track record of clearly defining objectives and priorities, establishing milestones, anticipating, and mitigating risks and exceeding goals in a dynamic environment while maintaining strong attention to detail and quick recall
  • Experience developing and implementing projectbased communications plans
  • Excellent copywriting, communication skills, creative flair, and the ability to thrive in a pressured environment, with tight deliverables
