Description

Responsibilities:


  • Provide pricing to customers based on direction of the Regional Manager, Company price lists, and based on the quoting process.
  • Taking orders from customers over the phone, writing up the order, putting the order into the computer system, and getting the order to manufacturing for production.
  • Organizing and Co coordinating shipments to customers
  • Checking Product availability after receipt of order.
  • Communicate with Production on manufacturing schedule.
  • Ordering Materials with Purchasing for inventory.
  • Communicating with Purchasing on expected deliveries of inbound inventory.
  • Planning loads for the forklift operator and printing picking slips.
  • Arranging with trucking companies for Freight costs, pick up times, entering and receiving freight purchase orders.
  • Calling customers to notify them of their expected delivery.
  • Working with the sales estimated freights and sales staff to plan shipments.
  • Monitoring all outstanding orders and returns to ensure customer requirements are satisfied.
  • Communicating with the Procurement Manager for estimated date for receipt of materials and notify personal within the branch that will be affected; (i.e. production, and sales).
  • Working with Procurement Manager to minimize inventory carrying costs & maximize inventory turns.
  • Reviewing project contracts/specifications and plans for ontime delivery.
  • Coordinating project details between clients, sub contracts, and all internal departments as required to ensure accurate and timely project delivery.
  • Issuing subcontracts, change orders, corrective actions and requisitions as required.
  • Scheduling delivery of material to job sites.
  • Responsible for submitting monthly progress reports.
  • Issuing of invoices for approval by manager in accordance with project contracts and progress reports.
  • Ensuring safety and quality standards are met at all times.
  • Assisting the Regional Engineer and others as required.

Qualifications:


  • Post secondary education in engineering technology or business
  • CET an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment
  • Motivated, solutions oriented, creative thinker with strong communication skills
  • High level understanding of company solutions and the ability to effectively communicate our unique solution offerings.
  • Three to five years of related experience in customer service, sales and construction industry environment is an asset.
  • Familiar with ERP systems, ideally Visual.
  • Proficient with computer, including MS Office products, specifically Excel and ERP systems and Customer Relationship Management systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to negotiate terms in order to manage suppliers and internal customers without direct supervisory authority.
  • Results oriented.
  • Professional sense of urgency and "can do" attitude.
  • Extremely organized with the ability to multi task in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
