Come join our growing operations team. We are looking for a Production Supervisor who will report to the Operations Manager.

This role is responsible for supervising the activities of production employees in accordance with the companies' policies and procedures ensuring daily efficiencies.


Responsibilities:

  • Health and Safety ensure all employees are performing duties in a safe manner. Enforce all health and safety rules, regulations and initiatives.
  • Maintain manpower resource levels by selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities;
  • Manage, initiate, and direct the activities of employee's and equipment.
  • Allocating work to employees, setting production targets and communicating precise instructions.
  • Ensure effective employee relations.
  • Respond to employee concerns promptly and work with HR to resolve.
  • Monitor and initiate training activities in their department and all related documentation.
  • Works and ensures that all employees work in a safe manner, in a safe environment.
  • Conduct employee meetings.
  • Complete performance evaluations for their department as required.
  • Participate in JHSC meetings
  • Complete tasks as assigned from Monthly Workplace Inspections.
  • Participate in the corrective action process.
  • Work with scheduler to explain progress of jobs and to obtain instructions and tasks

ponsibilities:

  • Coordinate manpower planning, time off approvals
  • Maintain open line of communication with all departments
  • Purchasing, Scheduling, Sales, Engineering and Quality
  • Assign personnel to specific tasks or work stations, monitors processes to ensure that employees perform them correctly and monitors the entire manufacturing process to prevent delays and provide instruction
  • Manage employees' schedules;
  • Keep detailed records of employee hours worked and always ensures adequate personnel levels;
  • Maintain and writes production reports and records. Prepare daily activity reports as well as employee evaluations and reports on assembly and shipping issues to enhance productivity and ensure that workers adhere to production schedules and deliverables;

Qualifications:


  • High school diploma; college trade preferable;
  • Knowledge of supply chain and production processing and inventory systems;
  • Computer literate (Excel, Word) and data entry skills;
  • Forklift experience with certification and valid driver license;
  • Require good understanding of all Regulatory Health & Safety rules, Continuous Improvement & Lean principals;
  • Leadership, verbal communications and interpersonal skills;
  • Promote employee empowerment and trust;
  • Be customer, quality and safety oriented;
  • Ability to give directions and make effective decisions;
  • Ability to organize time, adapt to changes and prioritization skills;
  • Analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Ability to organize work with mínimal guidance.
