Acden Environment Limited Partnership is currently looking for
two (2) Labourer positions pending new contract work. The site is located in Fort McMurray, Alberta.

This position will consist
of 5 days on, 5 days off, 4 days on, 5 days off (5/5/4), and 12-hour day shifts.

However, please note that schedules, shifts, and site locations may vary as per operational requirements.

What will the role entail?

  • Tasks include picking and sorting nonconforming waste delivered to the landfill and operating a skid steer/loader for various tasks, such as plowing snow and sorting waste.
  • Maintaining building floors and emptying industrial waste receptacles, along with recycling materials, cleaning and disinfecting break room/lunchroom, including appliance cleaning
  • Notifying relevant authorities about the need for repairs to prevent potential injuries.
  • Collecting sitewide waste and managing it accordingly, operating vehicles in a mine environment as instructed
  • Adhering to all client site protocols for badge/swipe in and out, completing and updating daily Field Level Risk Assessment (FLRA), and submitting it to the supervisor
  • Understanding and following Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), Safe Work Procedure (SWP), and Safe Job Procedure (SJP)
  • Maintaining laydown yard as directed and repairing and refurbishing waste bins as directed

What are the job qualifications?

  • Previous Experience in operating Skid steer and Loader is an asset
  • Previous Labourer experience in landfill/recycling operations experience and Solid Waste is an asset
  • Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and "safetyfirst" attitude
  • The ability to work cohesively in team environment and independently is an asset

What are the job requirements?

  • Valid Class Five (5) Licence
  • Using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
  • If selected for an interview, you must submit 5year commercial drivers' abstract that is not more than 30 days old
  • Valid Common Safety Orientation (CSO) or equivalent is required
  • Comprehensive preemployment Drug, Alcohol, Hearing, Visual and Physical Abilities Testing
Must be eligible to acquire access to all Acden client sites as required by the position
