Overview

Hexagon's Autonomous Solutions division is looking for a talented and highly motivated Director Agriculture Engineering with senior Engineering leadership experience. This is a new role reporting to the Executive Vice President, Agriculture. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in leading engineering teams responsible for the precision agriculture solution development and roadmap execution.

The Location: Hexagon is a global company with locations around the world. Our preferred location for this role is in either our based in our Calgary, Canada or Florianopolis, Brazil office locations.

Responsibilities

As our Director Agriculture Engineering you would be responsible for:

• Providing functional management to engineering team leaders
• Leading cross department collaboration amongst other divisional engineering and innovation teams
• Developing resource plans to support solution roadmap execution
• Defining and implementing optimal organizational structure to support business objectives
• Providing technology leadership and education between engineering groups and product marketing.
• Identifying any technology gaps and creating gap closure plans
• Educating team on community of practice processes and championing improvement ideas
• Effectively advocating for agriculture customer needs
• Cost budgeting, department planning, and resource forecasting
• Participating in strategic planning and external customer forums

Qualifications

Must-Have:

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 10+ years of experience in Engineering roles.
• At least 7 years of experience leading a multi-disciplinary team of senior engineering professionals.
• Demonstrated history of building hardware and software products from concept all the way through to production
• Proven track record of executive level communications and reporting

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience in precision agriculture industry
• Bilingual in English and Brazilian Portuguese
