PTW is hiring a PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT to join our team in Lower Mainland, BC.

_ We are looking for qualities such as leadership, confidence, safety focus, calm under pressure. In this role, you areresponsible for the day-to-day management of the construction site focusing on the mechanical and electrical scopes of work. If you are a licensedindustrial electrician with strong problem-solving skills and you can provide operational leadership to our team, we want to hear from you_

Flexibility for overnight trips is a real asset.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Initiate, coordinate, direct, and schedule site personnel to ensure project objectives are met.
Assist with the optimizations of mechanical and electrical design drawings.
Assist in preparation and negotiation of mechanical and electrical subcontracts.
Monitor the overall progress of the project and take corrective action where necessary.
Maintain a good working relationship with customers, consultants and subcontractors.
Prepare and review reports on progress, costs, materials used and adjust work schedules as required
Assist with commissioning process, building turnover and closeout documentation.

Maintains a respectful and engaging work environment for all employees. Accountable for compliance with union agreements
Prepare overall work plan and schedule in conjunction with Branch Manager.
Effectively provide overall supervision, coordination and scheduling of construction activities and consistently complete projects on time, on budget and to the client's satisfaction.

MUST HAVE

A degree and/or related trade experience in Electrical and Instrumentation industrial installations.
10 years' experience in the construction industry working with contractors with relevant work experience in a similar role.
Indepth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and how they integrate with construction elements.
Be capable of reading and understanding Instrument, Electrical, and P&ID drawings

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Demonstrated competence in the areas of safety, workforce management, project execution, cost control, quality, and administration.
A strong leader and problemsolver, you are able to build and steward trust with clients, subcontractors, and team members to effect competitive excellence and pride in teamwork with outstanding project delivery.
Sound knowledge of construction and building techniques is required.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Must have clean driving record and be able to provide a current drivers' abstract.
Must have CSA approved safety boots.
Safety tickets required: Standard First Aid, WHMIS and CSTS
