The Opportunity:

We are recruiting for a
MENTAL HEALTH CLINICIAN (The Grove - Youth Wellness Hubs Ontario)

_This is a regular full-time opportunity (35 hours per week Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm with the potential for hours to shift to 12pm to 8pm)) based out of 900 Tower St. S. Fergus with regular travel to the Youth Wellness Hub sites in Wellington County and Guelph._
The Grove Hubs brings an integrated youth services model to Wellington County and the City of Guelph, where youth (age are at the center of services that are available in our community.

Our vision includes service providers working together to enhance the integration of services and build a system to better meet the needs of youth in our community.

What is an Integrated Youth Service model?


A "one-stop-shop" for youth aged 12-26 designed to meet a wide range of needs across the continuum, including mental health, substance use, primary care, education, employment, training, housing and other community and social services.

Co-designed with youth, the sites will include peer services, outreach, and system-navigation services.

Services emphasize quality, are timely, integrated and co-located, making it incredibly easy for youth to get what they need, when they need it.


Qualifications:

  • Masters level degree in psychology, social work or relevant health or social science field
  • Registration and in good standing with relevant professional college/registering body
  • Minimum three years' experience working with youth and transitional aged youth with complex mental health
  • Experience with assessment, development of treatment plans and use of interventions to assist youth with their mental health
  • Demonstrated experience providing therapeutic or psychoeducational groups
  • Ability to problem solve in a team or independently, prioritize issues, generate possible solutions and evaluate effectiveness
  • Experience in managing crisis or unexpected situations with youth and safety planning as needed
  • Understanding of various service systems, community supports and resources within Guelph and Wellington County
  • Ability to work collaboratively in fastpaced and multidisciplinary setting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) including organization
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Outlook and various database software
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle as travel is required

COMPENSATION AND RATE OF PAY:
Level 6 (OPSEU) - $34.28 to $41.78 per hour
